Go down to the line which starts with linux and press End; Press space; Add the following at the end -> kernel.panic=1; Press F10 to restart; This basically forces your PC to restart because by default it does not restart after a kernel panic. I'm not 100% what a guest is, I'll just describe what I've done head to toe. Really really sorry you have to bear with me I'm a noob big time with this stuff.

When the kernel try to start the init process,the kernel will enter a panic state. The CPU is imx28,and the cross compiler version is Linaro GCC 7.3-2018.05. The root file system is busybox-1.29.3. [ 3.661032] This architecture does not have kernel memory protection. booted and the kernel panic was gone. So it seems like the kernel panic is (in this case) soley cause by a full disk, which i guess we should avoid, thats a lot of hassle for that, especially if you consider the auto-resize being configured but probably never happened do to the early kernel panic.

There is probably no more /dev/hdx unless you configured your kernel in some special way. I attempted to reinstall all packages, thinking there was some kind of database error, but since the "/tmp" partition was full, it did not work properly and something happened that caused the kernel panic when I then attempted to reboot the computer.

Danke euch beiden! Ich habe nun mit UNetbootin die Linux Mint 13 Mate 64bit-Version aus dem Link auf den USB-Stick gespielt. Es wird vom USB-Stick gebootet und ich komme nun schonmal in eine Live-Version, auf deren Desktop sich das Icon "Linux Mint installieren" befindet. I have met the "Kernel panic" from yesterday in centos 6.2. (Actually I'm a beginer. I just started studying from 2 months ago.)
